Internationally acclaimed for her work addressing the intersection of memory, history, and spirit, Ms. Kunin creates 3-D photographic animations. Her work transposes photographic stills into moving imagery, creating mesmerizing stories.
Her art has been extensively published, as well as receiving numerous awards. Previous exhibitions at various prestigious institutions include the Annenberg Space for Photography, the Museum of Photographic Arts, the Maison de Daguerre in Bry-sur-Marne, the Jewish Museum of Vienna, and the Museum of Jurassic Technology.
Ms. Kunin’s work is in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian Museum of American History, the National Portrait Gallery, the George Eastman House Museum, the Museum of Photographic Arts, the Getty Research Institute, as well as the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Her archive will be housed in the Smithsonian Institute’s Museum of American History’s Photographic Collection.
